Motley Mode Mondays - Get Tied To These Apron Strings

One of the reasons I love holidays at my parents home, is that my mother always cooks up a storm. She is a great cook, a wonderful homemaker, and she always wears an apron. You know the one I mean, the one that closely resembles something bought in a hardware store except is is made out of some floral chintz. It's either that, or one with a kitschy slogan emblazoned across her bosoms, neither one is particularly flattering in front of company. They do what they are intended and this past October 31st, one pulled double-duty as a six-year-old's "cape" as he went out for Halloween as Harry Potter. My mother wears them, my grandmother always wore them, we played dress-up in them as little girls. I myself haven't worn an apron since I was in Culinary School, and that was entirely functional and frankly a confining fashion don't.
